Whether you're here for the history, the food, or our wedding, here are some tips to make your Jaipur trip unforgettable—for all the right reasons!

Weather Overview

Temperature Range: Daytime highs around 35°C to 40°C (95°F to 104°F), with nighttime lows between 20°C to 25°C (68°F to 77°F).

Humidity: Generally low, making the heat more tolerable but dry.
Rain: Unlikely, as it’s still far from the monsoon season.

Packing

Clothes

(non-wedding related)

  • Modest clothes covering knees, and arms for both men and women when visiting sacred & heritage sites.

  • Comfortable walking shoes for exploration.

  • Hats or caps for sun protection.

Medicine

  • Imodium

  • Pepto-Bismol

  • Pain/fever reducer (eg: Tylenol, Aleve, Motrin)

  • Mosquito/insect repellent 

  • Sunscreen

Tech/Electronics

  • Universal Travel adapter or Adapters that fit Type C,D, or M plugs. Example here

Health & Safety

Your health and safety are paramount, we encourage you to follow these guidelines while travelling:

  • Being aware and alert is important for your safety; please avoid cellphone use in crowded places and on public transportation.

  • Keep cash and other valuables concealed while in public.

  • Keep personal belongings in a front pocket or wear bags to the front to avoid theft.

  • Keep valuables in safes where possible.

  • Use Ubers where possible, and only use local taxis like autorickshaws and cool cabs when travelling in a group.

Food & Beverage

  • As enticing as they are, we recommend avoiding food from street carts and vendors.

  • Tap water in India cannot be used for drinking, always purchase sealed water bottles from stores. 

  • Spice levels in India can be difficult to handle and digest, please exercise caution while consuming spicy foods, and don’t hesitate to inform your server that you would like mild spice levels.
